Like a flâneur, I wandered around the United States, from the East to the West coast, recounting the daily life in the metropolis of Boston, New York and Los Angeles, an experience from which the photographic project “America’s Corners” was born.

“Looking for the silence” is an installation that shows the jarring of a noisy, sprawling metropolis, in which the emptiness of mechanized life-as recounted in some 20th-century American literature-is balanced by urban cutouts in which it is suggested that silence and abstraction are not only desirable but still possible dimensions.

Come un flâneur, ho girato per gli Stati Uniti, dalla East alla West coast, raccontando la vita quotidiana nelle metropoli di Boston, New York e Los Angeles, esperienza dalla quale nasce il progetto fotografico “America’s Corners”.

“Looking for the silence” è un’installazione che mostra lo stridore di una metropoli chiassosa e tentacolare, in cui il vuoto della vita meccanizzata – come raccontata da certa letteratura americana del ‘900 – è bilanciato da ritagli urbani in cui si suggerisce che il silenzio e l’astrazione non sono dimensioni solo auspicabili ma ancora possibili.
